Domestic violence is a thing which needs special attention from the government , especially regarding the recovery efforts for victims . The recovery effort is one of the rights of the victim . Related to the victim , can not be separated from aspects of victimology . Victimology can be known through the various aspects related to the victim , one of which is on the rights and obligations of crime victims . The problem in this study is how the recovery
efforts for victims of domestic violence in the city of Bengkulu and what are the limiting factor in the recovery effort . This is a descriptive study , the type of research is empirical legal research . Source of data used are primary data is data obtained from the public by way
of interviews and secondary data obtained through the study of literature on victimology .Furthermore, the data is processed by the editing stage and then performed a qualitative analysis , and then describe it in the form of thesis . Based on the survey results revealed that
recovery efforts for victims of domestic violence in the city of Bengkulu not fully in accordance with the laws and regulations governing the recovery of the victim . Recovery
efforts in terms of just medical treatment first performed by health workers . This is because there are victims who do not know their rights in terms of recovery in addition, recovery efforts are still running less effective due to the lack of cooperation from the victim , and the inhibiting factor is the lack of knowledge about their rights victims in the recovery effort , the lack of intention of the victim to cooperate participate in recovery efforts , inadequate
facilities , not won the trust of the victim , not the victim consequently, the decision to report offenders .
