Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the influences of individual characteristic, job characteristic, and organizational characteristic to job satisfaction mediated by motivation (study of staff at Health Office Bengkulu Utara Regency). This research is causal analysis. This research used questionnaires. The data of this research used primary data collected by questionnaires. The number of samples in this research were 52 respondents or cencus method. The analysis used the staff’s perception of individual characteristic, job characteristic, organizational characteristic, motivation and job satisfaction using mediated regression. The result of this research shows that individual characteristic, job characteristic, organizational characteristic, motivation and job satisfaction were already good. From the mediated regression individual characteristic, job characteristic, and organizational characteristic have positive influences to job satisfaction mediated by motivation. Suggestions urged by the researcher based on the results of the study which had been done are that the Health Office Bengkulu Utara Regency should make flexible work schedule, give reward to staff, and delegated authority to staff so that the staff involvement and decision process become larger.
