Abstract

Indonesia has big population and various language applied by its people. As a nation, Indonesia is wellknown for its rich culture and creative people. This creativity along with various needs and conditions encouraged the rising of many language game. Language game is a language created by a group of people to fulfill their needs for secrecy or joyful activities. Some of the well-known language game are; prokem language, binan language, gaul language, alay language, and walikan language. It is interesting to acknowledge the variety of transformation compare to the variety of language game transformations from Borowsky dan Avery (2009), namely gibberish, spoonerism and double talk. Results of the analysis showed that prokem language can be include to gibberish. Walikan language can be grouped to spoonerism. While other three languages binan, and alay seems should be grouped into another group as they have extremely different characteristics outside the classification suggested by Borowsky dan Avery (2009).
