Abstract
Along the easthern part of Sumatera island, including Bengkulu area, are situated between the two great faulting zones, subduction zones and the two active moving plates.. Bengkulu province as the proyected area including in these zones, and become the active and high seismicity area, particularly for the tectonic earthquakes. The great earthquake that has occured on June., 2000, and on September, 2007., had caused severe damage to public facility, infra structure, as well as the loss of human beings. Based on the facts that had found, and to decrease the bad impact resulted by the disaster, it is much needed to design, plan and arranged the area and town as good as possible. by considering the important factors are as follows : 1.Locations / distances.; (2).Quality of the building and constructions (3).Human factors, as the human resources and the capability of the human being., and (4). Is the Natural Factor. (geology), is the most important factors. consisting of geological-structures, rocks / soil conditions and properties, ground-water and morphology / topography.. By the inspection and surveying the geological codition and fenomena, from the 9th to13th of Juni 2000. and on September 2007, the area are devided into three zonations. There are found three lateral spreading and liquefaction zonations in the Bengkulu area.and the surroundings ( Vulnarablelity Map of Bengkulu Area ).
