Abstract

The research has been done from May to June 2012 by using purposive random sampling. Sampling area was divided into three stations. Station 1 (there was no pollutant), and Station 2 and 3 (assumed there were pollutants). Observations indicated there were 14 species of zooplankton lived in that river. They were belong into class of Insekta, Crustaceae and Maxillopoda. The highest number of zooplankton found was in Station 1 (10 species), followed by Station 2 (8 species), and Station 3 (6 species). Based on Index Diversity and Similarity, we conclude that although it has been contaminated, but it can be said that the river is still relatively good habitat for zooplankton for awhile.
