Abstract

The objectives of this research were to analyze the students‟ ability in using English articles and find out the students‟ most frequent mistake in using English articles. In this research, the researcher used descriptive quantitative method. This research involved all of the 6th semester students of the English Education Study Program of Universitas Bengkulu. The data were collected by using a close test and a writing test. The result of this research shows that students‟ ability in using English articles in close test is fair. While, Students‟ ability in using English articles in writing test is excellent. More than half of the students (82%) were categorized in excellent level.
