Abstract
The objective of this research was to find out the ability of the sixth semester students’ of English Education Study Program of Universitas Bengkulu academic year 2016/2017 ability in pronouncing morphoponemic in English. The research was designed as quantitative study. The population of the research was students of the sixth semester English Education Study Program of Universitas Bengkulu who have passed phonology class, speaking 1,2,3 class and also have passed reading 1,2,3 class consist of 79 students. The sample of the research was 16 students consisting of 8 students from class A and 8 from class B. The instrument was test containing 30 of morphoponemic words where each sound realization from –ed ending had 10 words, the analysis of data was supported by audacity application. The result was the ability of the of the sixth semester students’ of English Education Study Program in Universitas Bengkulu pronunciation ability was classified in low category. The reslut showed 78% of the students pronunciation was unaccepted and 22% was accepted. The result showed that the students were lack in pronouncing morphoponemic words.
