Abstract
This research was classroom action research which conducted using three cycles. It aimed to improve activity in learning and science process skills at the concept of work and energy by using discovery learning with macromedia flash animation as media. The subject of this research was class X MIPA 1 consisted of 26 students. This research conducted with four stages. They were planning, action, observation and reflection. The instruments of this research were observation sheet for students’ activity and questions test about science process skills. The result showed that students’ activity in learning at cycle I in the average score of 25 was in good category, cycle II was 27.5 in good category and cycle III was 29 in good category. The result of the test of science process skills in the average score of the class was improve at every cycle. At cycle I was 70.15 in good category, at cycle II was 81,46 in very good category and at cycle II was 90,03 in very good category. Based on the result, the conclusion was the implementation of discovery learning by using animation as media can improve students’ activity in learning and science process skills.
