Abstract

Research consistently demonstrates that cultural exchange activities play a crucial role in improving students' language learning, specifically in speaking skills, as they provide authentic opportunities for language practice, exposure to diverse linguistic and cultural contexts, and increased motivation and engagement among learners. The research aims to assess the impact of these activities on the English speaking skills of students in the Experimental Class, evaluate any changes in the Control Class, and compare the post-test scores between the two classes to determine if there is a significant difference. The research employs a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, comparing an Experimental Class receiving cultural exchange activities with a Control Class receiving no specific treatment, using pre-test and post-test. The results suggest that cultural exchange activities are effective in enhancing English speaking skills and incorporating cultural exchange activities into language teaching programs can lead to better outcomes in English speaking skills. The results suggest that cultural exchange activities are effective in enhancing English speaking skills and incorporating cultural exchange activities into language teaching programs can lead to better outcomes in English speaking skills.
