Abstract

One nation impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic is Indonesia, particularly in the area of education. The learning system is changed from online and offline based on campus regulations. Student’s self-regulation is one ability that students need in the process of learning. The purpose of this research is to know the student’s self- regulation used in the new normal situation of English Education in academic 2021/2022 at the University of Bengkulu. The study used quantitative method and gathered the data through online questionnaires. Forty students were chosen in this research included fourth-semester students of English Education study program. The results show 63,1% English students used self-regulation in the process of learning English. In the new normal situation, they can more regulate themselves to get the best achievement. They can regulate themselves from the motivation and also in learning strategies. it can be concluded that students' still used self- regulation in learning process even in the new normal situation. This study provides valuable information about self-regulation in the new normal situation. In addition, this study’s finding will enrich readers’ knowledge related to student self-regulation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Key Word: Self-Regulation, New Normal, English Students.
