Abstract
This study aimed to find out the implementation of Character Education Values in English textbook 10 th Graders published by Kemendikbud in listening tasks. This research was qualitative research. The object of this research is the textbook Bahasa Inggris Work in Progress published by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) in 2022. The textbook contains 6 chapters and 182 pages designed for Merdeka Curriculum To collect the data, the reseacher was used document analysis checklist based on the Merdeka Curriculum provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republik Indonesia. To analyze the data, the researcher used an interactive model stated by Saldana (Miles, Huberman & Saldana, 2014). The result of this study found the character education value that contained in the textbook’s listening tasks is Critical Reasoning as the highest value implemented in the textbook, while the character that is not implemented in the textbook is Creative. It can be concluded that the analysis in the English textbook is appropriate as teaching materials to developing the character of Pancasila Student profile for tenth graders.
