Participants in this study is the entire eighth semester students of English education at Bengkulu University with a total of 106 students. The results of the questionnaire showed that almost all students assume that writing components such as content, organization, mechanics, grammar and vocabulary can be learned through the use of Instagram. On average each component reaches above 50,00% and all of them classified in the high and very high categories. The results of the interview data show that the benefits of Instagram not only include five components as (content, organization, mechanics, grammar and vocabulary), but there are some positive others like how to pronounce, learn many new languages and write with free expression.
