Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of using Project Based Learning on students' reading comprehension of Narrative texts. This research used a quantitative pre-experiment method which only used one class as the research object. Next, the researcher initiated a pre-test and post-test as instruments during the research. Grade 11 students of SMAN 3 Bengkulu City were the population in this study with a total of 33 students. The researcher used total sampling technique to collect research samples. The Researcher also used a number of multiple choice questions in collecting pre-test and post-test data. The results of data analysis show that the correlation value is 0.381, while the sig. 0.001 < 0.05, so that the correlation that occurs in the pre-test and post-test is categorized as significant or in other words there is an increase in the use of PjBL in this study. Sig value (2-tailed) = 0.001 > 0.05, meaning there is a significant difference between reading abilities of the students before and after applying the treatment using PjBL as a learning medium in English. Then based on the analysis results that have been summarized in the N-Gain Test, there is an increase in scores that can be seen. Key Words : Project Based Learning, Reading Comprehension
