Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out techniques used by the English teachers’ in varying teaching activities. It employed a descriptive method. The objects of this research were the English teachers at SMPN 11 Bengkulu. The data was collected by using checklist that consists of three techniques which is divided into 17 items. The data were analyzed by using percentage formula. It was found that all the techniques in varying teaching activities in this research were applied in teaching and learning process. The teachers used variation in teaching style 38,7 %, and variation in interaction pattern and students activities 52,1 %.
