Abstract
The study was conducted to determine whether there is a difference between the price predictions with the actual stock prices so that investors can predict when to buy and sell a stock company using technical analysis Mainchart and MACD. Object of study taken in this study is that PT Bank Mandiri Persero Tbk and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, with daily stock price movement data (daily price movement) during the first year of trading in the time interval 4 January 2010-31 December 2010. BMRI and BBCA stock movement data obtained from eTrading HOTS Daewoo Securities is one of the Faculty of Economics broker partners in conducting studies on investment and stock trading education. By analyzing the data movement BBCA and BMRI stock prices in the period of 1 year of data will appear 17 image signal and the intersection of the lines showing the MACD line ups and downs of the stock price of the two banks. In addition, this study also compares whether there is a difference between the price predictions generated by the current stock price. This study shows that the trend pattern occurred 9 times the stock price go up (bullish) and 8 times the trend of declining stock price (Bearish). This proves the main trend of the shares of both banks are in bullish conditions.
