Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the Government Banks Performance compare to National Private Banks performance for the year period 2008-2010. Bank financial performances are measured using RGEC Approach (Risk Profile, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, and Capital) by Bank Indonesia policy standards. Sources of data in this study came from secondary data, in the form of reports at the banking companies listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange in the period 2008-2010. The number of samples in the study were six banks, which consists of three state banks and three private banks. Data analysis methods used are Independent Sample T test trials. Research results indicate that the Government Banks and the National Private Banks has no significant difference. Performance ROA and ROE financial ratio of the Government Banks and National Private Banks of the has met the standard of Bank Indonesia. NIM financial ratios, NPL, and the CAR of the Government Banks and the National Private Banks has met the standard of Bank Indonesia. Financial ratios of LDR the Government Banks and the Private Banks has not met the standards of Banks Indonesia. Ratio LDR of the Government Banks and National Private Banks has not yet have a good performance. While the ratio of NIM, NPL, ROA, ROE, and the CAR Government and National Private Banks have shown a good performance. Bank must consider the LDR whose value is less than the standard policy of Bank Indonesia. Under the regulations of Bank Indonesia Number 13/1/PBI/2011 dated January 5, 2011 about the Rating System for Commercial Banks in self- assessment, any General Banking should be preparing a report of the bank's soundness using RGEC rating approach, at the end of June and December.
