Abstract
Farm ownership in Indonesia is still small and has not become the main source of income . But there is an opportunity to develop into a profitable business , such as crickets cultivation is not yet entrenched and popular in the community . Based on data from the continuous market demand , crickets economic potential to be used as the main source of income . This study aims to determine the potential and economic value through income analysis farming crickets in the city of Bengkulu . This study was conducted daril April to May 2013. Data obtained through the census census . The choice of location was based on the consideration that the location of anyone raising livestock crickets . The data used in this study was primary and secondary data . The results showed that the livestock business in the city of Bengkulu, was still small-scale farmers .The entire cricket breeder in Bengkulu city is at the level of productive age is 31 to 56 years . R /C ratio at the research farm was 1,448 crickets . Based on the results of this study concluded that breeding crickets in the city of Bengkulu potential and deserves to be developed .
