Abstract

The research about of the level of intensity of the electromagnetic radiation caused by radio transmitters, TV transmitters, the Sun and PLN. The purpose of this research is determining the values of the intensity of electromagnetic radiation in the city of Bengkulu on morning, noon and night, Determining highest levels of electromagnetic radiation in a dense population place/crowd in town and Mapping Bengkulu terradiasi area by using electromagnetic waves software surfer 7. This research use EMF (Electro Magnetic Field) and the retrieval of data from the month of May to July 2013. The research about data showed that the higher the voltage the magnetic field emitted by the higher. The intensity of electromagnetic radiation in the city of Bengkulu between 0.027 μT to 2.83 μT and has exceeded a predetermined threshold is 0.4 μT. Area that have high levels of electromagnetic radiation intensity in the city of Bengkulu, which exceeded the threshold is the area around PLN Suka Merindu, Padang Jati, Hospital M. Yunus and Sawah Lebar.
