Abstract

This study aims to determine the antifungal activity of ethanol extract of leaves of Sansevieria tripasciata Prain against Trichophyton rubrum. The research was conducted by extracting leaves of Sanseviera tripasciata Prain through maceration by ethanol 96%. Antifungal activity test was using solid dilution, Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA), as positive control was ketoconazole and as a negative control was DMSO solvent. The concentration extract of Sansevieria tripasciata Prain were 9%, 17%, 23%, 29,%, 33%, 38%, 41%, 44%, 47%, and 100% (b/). Observations were done after an incubation period of 7 days with 3 repetitions.Concentration of 47% and 100% Sansevieria trifasciata Prain extract were the most effective concentration to inhibit fungal Trichopyton rubrum which produce 48.3% and 57.5% inhibition. v
