Abstract

The objective of the study was to know the effect of the utilization of information technology (in term of diversity of information technology utilization and the extent of information technology utilization) toward user atisfaction of accounting information system using the task complexity as the moderating variable. This research used survey method by using questioners to gather data. The samples of this research were 44 middle and lower managers from banking industry in Bengkulu city. To test the effect of the interaction between the utilization of information technology and task complexity toward user satisfaction of accounting information system used multiple regression analysis. The research showed that the diversity and the extent of information technology had the positive significant effect toward the user satisfaction of accounting information system. The interaction between the diversity of information technology utilization and task complexity significantly influenced the user satisfaction of accounting information system, and the interaction between the extent of information technology utilization and task complexity also significantly influenced the user satisfaction of accounting information system.
