Abstract
One effort that can be done to increase the yield of crops grown on Soil Type ultisol was through fertilization. Fertilization can be done either by using inorganic fertilizer, organic or a combination of both. Organic fertilizers can be derived from organic materials that have undergone decomposition by microorganisme. Organic materials that can be used as organic fertilizer and beneficial to one pepper plant derived from hairpin weeds (Wedelia trilobata) and kirinyu (Cromolaena odorata). Besides organic fertilizer can also be derived from organic waste as waste that is managed by the University of Bengkulu. This study aimed to compare the growth and yield of pepper plants were fertilized with inorganic fertilizer (urea) and organic fertilizers are derived from bokasi tusuk konde (Wedelia trilobata), bokasi kirinyu (Cromolaena odorata) and the University of Bengkulu compost product (compost UNIB). The study was conducted in July-October 2012 in the village of Causeway Governor of Bengkulu. The design used was completely randomized (CRD) consisting of : Urea 200 kg/ha; Bokasi tusuk konde (BTK) 20 tons/ha; BTK 15 tons/ha + urea 200 kg/ha; BTK 10 tons/ha + urea 200 kg/ha; BTK 5 tons/ha + urea 200 kg/ha; Bokasi Kirinyu (BK) 20 tons/ha; BK 15 tons/ha + urea 200 kg/ha; BK 10 tons/ha + urea 200 kg/ha; BK 5 tons/ha + urea 200 kg/ha; Compost UNIB (KU) 20 tons/ha; KU 15 tons/ha + urea 200 kg/ha; KU 10 tons/ha + urea 200 kg/ha and KU 5 tons/ha + urea 200 kg/ha. Each treatment was repeated 5 times and each experimental unit consisted of 5 polybags so overall there were 65 polybags. The results showed that the application of fertilizer and kirinyu bokasi hairpin at doses that were 20 tons/ ha in pepper, the result of better weight per plant and it ranged from 28.2 to 88.3 g / plant compared with the treatment given UNIB compost which ranges 32.7 to 63.3 g / plant.
