Abstract

Since the crisis of fossil fuel energy use more efficient and environmentally friendly to begin is often used as a mixed use premium fuel with ethanol instead of pure gasoline fuel (gasoline). Ethanol can be made from the cooking process, fermentation and distillation. As for some types of crops such as sugarcane, corn, cassava, or other plants that the high karbohidrad potential to make ethanol fuel. This study compared the premium fuel with gasoline and ethanol blending 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% of the engine performance of Honda Supra Fit 2004 using a dynamometer test, the parameters obtained in this study is the torque, power and specific fuel consumption (sfc) to variations in engine rotation. The test results of combustion engine Honda Supra Fit 2004 optimal performance was obtained from mixing gasoline and ethanol 20% is for torque and power values obtained from mixing gasoline and ethanol 20% for Tm = 0.6486 (Nm) and to power at P = 0.7023 (hp). For fuel consumption is still losing ground in the most efficient fuel mixing gasoline and ethanol 20% for SFC = 1.5157 (kg / hp.h)
