Abstract
The sea grasses diversity and distribution has been investigated in intertidal area of Teluk Sepang, Selebar region, the city of Bengkulu in period of May to September 2005. Species diversity, frequency and shoots density of the sea grasses, were investigated by Count quadrate method; while sea grasses zonation and coverage was investigated by line intercept transect. It was found only two species of the Seagrasses community in Teluk Sepang intertidal area; Cymodocea rotundata and Thalassia hemprichii. Cymodocea rotundata has wider distribution than Thalassia hemprichii, as well as higher in the density value and the distribution evennes. Both species distributed near the coastline to the seaward. Mostly, these species were inhabited the same area (multispecific); only few transect were inhabited monospecificly.
