Abstract
This qualitative research aims to find out the humanity values contained in
the Toy Story Movie directed by John Lasseter. The sample was 434 sentences.
Data collection was carried out in several steps, namely; watched, compared,
existed dialogues, took notes, and re-watched the Toy Story film. The instrument
of this study was the researcher by observed directly. The humanity values
included the value of freedom with a total frequency of 1, the value of cooperation
with a total frequency of 19, the value of sacrifice with a total frequency of 4, the
value of care with a total frequency of 50, the value of help with a total frequency
of 12, and the value of solidarity with a total frequency of 2. Among the six
values, the researcher found that the value of care was the value that appeared
most in the "Toy Story" movie with a total frequency of 50. The value of care
appeared most in the Toy Story movie it probably because the Toy Story film was
very closely related to friendship which provided a moral message to be able to
care more about one another because in essence humans were social beings who
still need other people. This study concluded that the value of care was the value
that appeared most in the Toy Story movie, the main characters in the Toy Story
movie were able to provide care for each other. These results indicated that the six
values of humanity are found in the Toy Story movie so that the Toy Story movie
was able to provide awareness of humanity values to its audience.
