Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate an effective strategy which can be
established in order to improve people’s income in Pondok Kelapa Subdistrict. The
scope of this study was limited only about the society’s income, UKM, society’s
organization, training and cooperation.
The main data used in the research was were primer data, which were abtained
trough questionnaire distribution towards 40 persons of society members as
household head (KK) who were choosen as samples. The secunder data were
especially obtained from literature, documents existed in district office of Pekik
Nyaring.
The obtained data were analyzed by applying SWOT analysis. From the SWOT
analysis result applied in this at research, it was investigation that : Pekik Nyaring
District had strength on its Human resources. Which was quite great and mostly
came from relatively similar culture and etchnic tendenly. However, the society
tended to have diffulty in getting the capital enterprises, and also the avalaible human
resources were generally unskilled enough. Therefore they hadn’t been able to
exploit the avalaible opportunity, such as opportunity to set up UKM and any
cooperations. Consequently, UKM or coorperation, cooperate with the capitel owner
and attend training according to the establishing enterprise.
