Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the cultural representation found in game
"A Space for the Unbound" video game. The research method in this study is
qualitative. The instrument or tool in qualitative research is the researcher himself.
This study also used direct direct observation of cultural representation in "A
space for the Unbound" as the instrument. The result of this study showed that
from the 8 types of cultural elements proposed by Farzaneh et al (2014), 7
elements were found, and 1 element was not found. The 7 elements were
Attitudes, Habits, Interactions, Beliefs, Emotions, Behaviors, and Relationships
between Humans; while element of Thought did not occur. Furthermore, this
study found one element that is not included in the theory of Farzaneh et al. The
additional element was Food that were found in many related scenes. It was
concluded that in cultural elements, it can be said that "A Space for the Unbound"
video game contains almost all cultural representations and are carried out
according to the Indonesian community environment.
