Abstract
"This study aims to describe the management of learning communities in improving
the professional competence of teachers at SMPN Selangit, Musi Rawas Regency.
The specific objectives are to examine the planning, organization, implementation,
and evaluation of learning communities. This study uses a qualitative approach,
using interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. The results
of this study indicate that the "Pakam" learning community at SMPN Selangit has
improved the professional competence of teachers at the school. The
implementation of learning communities in the future can involve greater
collaboration with learning communities in other schools. The application of a
learning community management model based on information and communication
technology can improve the professional competence of teachers in developing 21st
century learning skills and Researchers contribute to developing and testing the
management of learning communities that can improve the professional
competence of teachers, so that they can provide recommendations for the
development of educational policies and educational practices in the field.
