FORMULASI SEDIAAN LOTIO DARI EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT BUAH NAGA (Hylocereus Polyzhius)

Dragon fruit skin (Hylocereus Polyzhius) is known to contain active phenol
compounds which are beneficial for skin health. One of the cosmetic preparations to
support the appearance of the skin is lotio. Without realizing it, many cosmetics, such
as lotion, contain dangerous chemicals such as mercury. Consuming mercury can
cause various things, including other side effects that appear, for example changes in
skin color. This is what encourages the shift to the use of preparations derived from
nature. This research aims to formulate a lotion preparation from dragon fruit
(Hylocereus Polyzhius) peel extract. This research method is True Experimental
Laboratory which consists of making extracts using the maceration method with 70%
ethanol solvent. The concentrations of dragon fruit peel extract used include (F0) 0%,
(F1) %, (F2) %, and (F3) %. Some of the tests carried out include testing,
organoleptic, homogeneity, Ph, spreadability, skin irritation and skin moisture. The
test results show that the fourth formula produces a lotion that is homogeneous, semi�solid, soft in texture, has the fragrance of cherry blossoms, and is pure white (F0),
light brown (F1), slightly dark brown (F2), and dark brown (F3). pH range 4.5 — 8
Spreadability value (cm) 5 — 7.
