Abstract

The research analyzed The Used of Cooperative principles in The King’s Speech Movie. It was
conducted to analyze how the four maxims used in the movie. This research applied a descriptive
qualitative method. The result of this research was going into two parts. The first is about the
script analyzed. The script will be split into four maxims and each maxim divided into three
categories which are good, fair and bad which is created based on Grice and Parker Theory. The
seconds is about the frequency of the maxim used and explanation of the maxim
