Abstract

In general, this study aims at describing the process of ICT teaching –
learning at State Senior High School I Curup. This is a descriptive study
that portrays the stages in ICT instruction starting from planning to
evaluating. The result of the study shows that there are some stages that
should be done in ICT teaching-leaning process. First, the planning for ICT
instruction begins with making the instructional planning. It covers some
aspects such as analyzing standard competence and basic competence,
setting the indicators, designing activities, and setting the time allocation
and resources. Additionally, some other documents should also be
prepared in the process of planning such as: annual program, term
program, and syllabus. Second, the classroom activity for ICT learning
involves the following activities: apperception, activating multimedia
equipment, filling the attendance list, opening the computer program,
conveying the material, conducting discussion session, and concluding the
lesson. Third, the evaluation for ICT instruction involves some activities
such as establishing evaluation goals, setting the evaluation aspects
(cognitive, affective, and psych motoric), and designing the evaluation
instrument that covers some activities: establishing the purposes of
assessment, setting the indicator, making the outline, and making the test
items. This study is expected to give significant contribution to the
institution, teachers, and students. For the institution, ICT instruction
should be handled by professional teacher, thus, schools must actively
sent teachers to various seminars and training on ICT. For the teachers,
they must improve their personal and professional qualities. Finally,
students are expected to be more motivated ad self-directed in learning
ICT.
