to analyze the violations if Cooperative principles in the postings. The data were
collected by using the documentation technique following the following procedures:
identified, collected, classified, analyze. The results show that the maxim that
violated the most often among the SEC-EROS group members was Maxim of
Manner. Meanwhile, the maxim that violated the most often by member to member of
the SEC-EROS group was Maxim of Relation. Lastly, the maxim that violated the
most often by members to lecturers was Maxim of Quantity. Moreover, the maxim of
Quality was not frequently flouted in this research. In short, since this group was an
informal media of communication, the way of communicating showed their close
relationship in an informal sense rather than formal communication. Therefore, the
violating of the maxims in the postings did not always break the communication, but
it reflected maintaining a good informal relationship among members.
