Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze the externalities of coal waste
collection at Pasar Bengkulu in Bengkulu city with several factors that are,
health,
transportation
infrastructure, ghettos environment, and income.
The
method of analysis used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. Type
of data used in in this research is to use primary data, a data taken from the
survey / obesrvasi directly to the field as well as interviews with the respondents
that is the coal miners at Pasar Bengkulu Village in Bengkulu City. Sampling
method using census method is where all of the populations sampled in this
research. From the research has been done could be seen that the impact caused
by coal waste collection activity that is a public health conditions of coal waste
collectors getting worse, there is nothing the change to the transportation
infrastructure, the emergence of ghettos environment like of residual waste
screening coal and the widening of the river in the area of collection coal waste,
the rising incomes of coal waste collection public with take advantage of spare
time, and there is also the employment of the emergence of source of new employ
ment.
