Abstract
Research that looked at the role and benefits of fishing cooperatives to their members.
Research conducted at the Cooperative Bina Masyarakat Pesisir. Respondents in this study
using a total of 30 respondents selected by snowball sampling, using a qualitative descriptive
analysis method. From the research results can be concluded that the Cooperative
Development of Coastal Communities and useful role in terms of: the expansion of business,
business management, human resources and procurement of basic needs.
Overall assessment of indicators of research is quite good. means that the role and benefits
perceived by members of the cooperative that is pretty good.
